YOUNG WOMEN "TO-DO"

ALL YOUNG WOMEN: Please begin now to prepare yourself for the next Sunday lesson. Links to the lessons are provided below.
CLASS PRESIDENCIES: Your next meeting is February 10. Please begin now creating your meeting agenda. If you have questions about what you need to include, contact an adult leader over your class and/or consult the class presidency "handbook"
ADVISERS: Please plan to discuss lesson topics for the next two months during the next class presidency meeting. Come prepared with what Sundays you need to choose lessons for as well as a list of topics for the month (available here: https://www.lds.org/youth/learn/yw?lang=eng)
VIRTUE VALUE PROJECT: By the end of this week we should all have read up to ALMA 51

If you do this you will eventually have overlapped your reading and can continue with just that day's assignment! Cool huh!?

QUEST ATTENDEES: If you are planning on going to Quest YOU MUST COMPLETE THE MEDICAL FORMS (available to download - the link is in the sidebar). So far we only have forms for Cassie, Aniston, & Kate H. (Kate still needs to turn in Insurance form). That leaves A LOT of you girls needing to turn in your forms!!!

February 4: Family Home Evening

We spent time on Sunday (Feb 3) discussing The Plan of Salvation. Think of questions you had during the lesson and ask your parents about them OR write down questions you had that you would like to discuss during next Sunday's lesson and call/text/email them to your class adviser.

February 6: Mutual (New Beginnings)

7:00 PM, church dress.
Parents are welcome to come and get a refresher about the Young Women program as well as Personal Progress. We will be inviting the girls turning 12 this year to join us with their parents too.
Kiera Brown and Brynn Harris are planning this activity so if they call to ask you to briefly speak/share an experience, please be willing to help! We want to make sure that each class is represented!

February 9: Stake Dance (Youth ages 14 and up)

There are two dances this night. Many of our Youth are going to the Katy dance, but some are going to the dance in Clear Lake.

February 10: Sunday Meetings

All Laurels please read President Thomas S. Monson’s talk “The Three Rs of Choice”. Please be prepared to share things that impressed you. How can President Monson’s counsel help you in making good choices?
Specific Assignments:

Cassie Avomo ? - Right of Choice;
Kiera Brown - Responsibility to Choose
Sarah Garcia - Results of Choice and show Video: “No Regrets”.
Prepare about a 5 minute discussion on your topic to present to the class. Share personal experiences pertaining to your assigned topic as you feel inspired to do so and/or invite class to share theirs. If you will not be at church, please let me know so that I can ask someone else to do your assignment.

Also all Laurels, search the talk “Guardians of Virtue,” looking for things Elaine S. Dalton did as a young woman to ensure that she made good choices. In what ways can you follow her example? Good choices lead to lasting happiness and eternal life. If we ask Him, Heavenly Father will help us make wise choices. Have a great week. Sis Allison.
