The Plan of Salvation

Sunday Lessons: We will no longer be planning lesson topics two months in advance. Advisers will use the spirit to determine which lessons will be taught each week.            A note from the Presidency:

Hello All,
We've finally got a date for our fundraiser this year and we're starting to plan the details. Camp is a little less this year but we have more girls going so we need the young women AND parents to help make this a success!
Fundraising Goal: $3000
(*Note - friends are often allowed to go to camp, but they must pay for themselves)

Date: Saturday, March 8, 2014
Time: 5pm - 7/8pm (end time TBD), Dinner to be served at 6pm
Theme: Spaghetti Dinner and Hoe-down

Details:
The dinner will be available to anyone who wishes to come and we will either have a donation box at each table for guests to donate as much as they are able/wish to during dinner and/or collecting donations in envelopes (so all donations will be anonymous). In addition, the young women will provide auction-able items for a silent auction (most likely baked goods). And of course there will be a dance! (The young women will be teaching line dances and providing babysitting in the nursery during the dance)
Help Needed:
Because this event is to raise money for the young women so they can go to camp, we expect all the young women to participate in helping prep/serve/donate/babysit as well as at least one parent of each young woman/family. Below is a list of help that we know we need at this point. Parents, please email us and let us know what you can help with.
  • Set up: March 8, 12pm-3pm (All young women expected to help)
  • Food Prep: Need parents to prepare foods (i.e. spaghetti sauce, noodles, rolls, etc...). Please let us know if you can help (we will assign who makes what)
  • Serving: The young women will be serving food at the event (this will not be a buffet style dinner)
  • Plating Food: We will need helpers in the kitchen plating food (5pm-6:30pm)
  • Dance Instruction: The young women will be learning line dances to teach during the dance. We need YW to volunteer to lead dances during the event
  • Nursery: We need YW to work in the nursery so parents can enjoy themselves
  • Baked Good/Auction Items: Each young woman will provide an auction-able item for a silent auction. Most likely we will be doing baked goods. More details to follow.
Thank you for all your help!-YW Presidency
